Load stimuli (and character set) from a text file

Upload a text file:

Number of currently loaded sentences (phrases, stimuli):  0

Number of characters of the alphabet currently loaded:  0

The default number of sentences loaded is 30. To avoid repeating the same stimuli, you must use your own stimuli from a text file. We recommend that you convert all letters in this file to lowercase or uppercase before loading.

One stimulus (sentence, phrase or whatever you want) must be written in each line of the text file, ie Delimiter character is Newline. Always check the file you are trying to upload.

There are 2 types of characters within this application: selection characters and fixed characters.

1. Selection (choice) characters. These characters can be selected by the user (drag and drop or keyboard) and appear at the bottom of the screen.

2. Fixed characters. These characters only appear at the top of the screen and cannot be selected. For example: a whitespace is always a fixed character that you cannot select.

All fixed characters appear only at the top of the screen, i.e. they represent the visible parts of the hidden sentence. This list shows all the characters loaded from your file. If there is no character in the list, check the uploaded file. So, if you want all the letters of the alphabet in your language to be visible in the letter menu at the bottom of the screen, you need to make sure that your text file contains all the letters of your alphabet. Use only plain text files to load stimuli.

In bellow list, select the characters that are fixed, ie they will appear to be initially entered at the top of the screen. You will not be able to select them at the bottom of the screen. For fixed characters, we recommend that you choose most often common punctuation marks (such as: . ! , ? , ; ' " whitespace..). If you want to make the task easier, you can set some letters of the alphabet that appear frequently for fixed characters (eg vowels).

Enable character selection multiple times:No. When a character is selected for the first time within the current item, it will disappear from the screen. Selecting this option significantly affects the size of the dependent variables in the task.
